Principal

Studio Rally Productions

Although this is a serious business venture (currently mothballed), I managed this project at a (heightened) hobby level evenings and weekends. It enriched my life through the relationships I developed and it exposed my kids to various disciplines of fine art.The Studio Rally Guide is an annual publication showcasing a cross-section of some of the most notable and accomplished artists in Nova Scotia, art galleries and other supporting businesses. The initiative is an effort to encourage art lovers and the public at large to travel the province, visit the various studios, galleries and other businesses that would appeal to art enthusiasts and enrich the traveller's experience by meeting some of the best artists anywhere, ultimately taking home a meaningful souvenir of Nova Scotia- a piece of authentic Nova Scotia art, hence bolstering our province's art community. This guide includes a map of these artists studios (as well as supporting galleries), a description of their work, and directions to the various participants and their hours of operation. It's a prestigious publication available at Nova Scotia's Tourist Information Centres, all participating artists studios, galleries, supporting businesses and many restaurants, inns, bed & breakfasts and other tourism related businesses. The publication supported a website, Facebook page and a signature annual weekend event- the Studio Rally Weekend held at the cusp of September and October each year.
