I am a motivational and adaptable Manager, with strong experience managing complex production operations and leading a large workforce. I currently manage a professional Procurement Team within the Aerospace\Defence sector. Here I have utilised my experience and knowledge of `Lean` methodologies to re-structure systems and processes, whilst ensuring that current and future programs are aligned with the business’ strategic aims and meet regulatory requirements.I have good knowledge of supply chain management, logistics and procurement and have a genuine passion for training teams and setting / meeting KPIs. I am comfortable developing beneficial relationships with stakeholders at all levels and have in-depth experience with all the differing aspects of management, including; budgeting, man-management, resource management and Health and Safety. I am effective and adaptable, with a wealth of readily transferable management and business improvement skills. I make use of my interpersonal and negotiation skills on a daily basis and I also have a strong understanding of Design & Quality control (QC/QA.)I consider a real strength to be assessing existing works and processes and making changes that result in improved efficiency and cost savings. Perhaps the most fulfilling part of my current position is developing a work force to take care and pride in their work. I strongly believe that valuing the contributions made by individuals encourages genuine commitment to a cause and certainly this has been my own experience.My personal maxim is to strive for excellence and I strongly believe in leading by example.
