Held position as a Naval Architect / Project Manager with Great Waters Maritime Services, Dubai. (www.greatwaters.ae). Great Waters was established in Dubai, UAE in 2013 and to cater the Oil & Gas sector. Great Waters has primarily focused on consultancy and project management services.Primary Role & Responsibilities: Attend to enquiries from clients, understand their requirements for preparing job specifications and quotations and plan the job execution effectively using the in-house team of engineers and draftsmen. Leading the team for consisting of conducting offshore surveys and inclining experiments. Checking and verifying strength, stability and other reports & drawings prepared junior team members including Naval Architect and Draftsmen.  Analysis, report preparation & verification of various FEA structural analysis using ANSYS and Staad.Pro for class and marine warranty approvals. Represent Great Waters at various business conferences and meetings to extend and explore new markets and clients. Details of Project Handled Had the responsibility of Project Manager & Lead Naval Architect for the Design of 97 m Double Skin Tanker where most of the basic Naval Architectural and engineering aspects we attended. In another project, liaised with Petrofac for installations of heavy storage tanks on their platform BorWin 3.  Proactively Involved in the design and engineering of below new builds:o Design Review of various new builds & LNG tanker conversion specially looking at strength and class related compliance. o Lifting, Load-out and Sea-fastening of boats and heavy diving equipment for clients like Fugro. o Project Manager of repair works of Santa Ana-crew boat classed with Bureau Veritas (BV) for P&O Maritime, Dubai.o Pre-purchase and condition survey of a 275m Oil tanker for Middle East based client. o Various Surveys on rigs for conducting Inclining experiments

Primary Role & Responsibilities: Attend to enquiries from clients, understand their requirements, and prepare job specifications and quotations. Plan the job execution effectively using the in-house team of engineers and draftsmen. Liaise with class, client and yard at all stages of project ensuring customer satisfaction and providing competent solutions. Providing assistance to client for verifying third party data and reports pertaining to projects. Leading the team for consisting of conducting offshore surveys and inclining experiments. Checking and verifying strength, stability reports & drawings prepared junior team members including Naval Architect and Draftsmen.  Analysis and report preparation of various FEA structural analysis using Strand7 and occasionally using Staad.Pro & ANSYS14 for class and marine warranty approvals. Performing Naval Architectural calculations using NAPA and Autohydro. Closely worked with major classification society like LR, BV, ABS, and DNV-GL. Also well conversed with having in-depth hands-on experience on Probabilistic Damage Stability Calculations for SPS vessels. Hull form development and creating and optimizing complex shapes in way of bulbous bow, anchor pocket, bow thruster eyes, aft region surface modeling using Rhinoceros package. Managing office and day-today requirements in absence of senior management when asked to. Represent Win Marine at various business conferences and meetings to extend and explore new markets and clients. o 90T Bollard Pull AHTSSV classed with LR for Halul Offshore, Qatar & built by Grandweld Shipyards, Dubai.o 80m Platform Supply Vessel classed with LR for Halul Offshore, Qatar & built by L&T Ship Building, Chennai, India.o 80m Platform Supply Vessel – Hybrid Propulsion classed with LR for Halul Offshore, Qatar & built by L&T Ship Building, Chennai, India.o 35T Bollard Pull Tug for Shoft, India. o 150T Bollard Pull AHTSSV – for Halul Offshore.

o Preparation of stability booklets using AUTOHYDRO for various vessels with requirements of Intact Stability, Damage Stability, Crane Stability, Anchor Handling,o Longitudinal Strength Calculation.o A-Frame design for a research vessel, Neptune Marine.o Design of flare boom foundation using STAAD.Pro for an oil rig for Schlumberger, Iran.o For conducting feasibility study and data collection, had been offshore on rig.o Prepared procedure and conducted inclining Experiments.o Design of new deck and analysis for equipment foundation & crane pedestal.o Extension of vessel in mid body and responsibility include all aspects of the project. Basic Design Documents (GA, Capacity Plan, Scantling Verification, Weight Calculation, etc.) Structural Drawings Outfit Drawings Piping Drawings Statutory Drawingso Introduced Rhinoceros 4.0 for modeling fair and fast conversion of existing lines of vessel’s hulls from AutoCAD/PDF format to GF (Autohydro Geometric File) to analyze stability quicker in terms of Man-hours and produce more accurate results than conventional modeling using Model Maker Module of Autohydro.

Worked as Graduate level Project Engineer with Specialist services, Dubai. An ISO 9001:2000 company serving Oil & Gas industry for more than 2 decades. Since 1982 specialist services been an unrivaled giant in offshore modular construction, LQ Modules, etc. fetching a wide spectrum of products to the oil & gas industry worldwide. Responsibilities & Tasks :o Responsible for detailed engineering in Structural, Architectural, and Piping disciplines for A60 rated logging units o Study and Review Scope of work, specifications, conditions of contract, bill of quantities and cost estimate of the project.o Responsible for execution of the project by monitoring its progress frequently, discussing and sorting out issues related to design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioningo Responsible for project management, design, fabrication and commissioning of projects as per SOLAS requirement on LQP , third party certifications like BV, LR, ABS etc. and other offshore platforms.

Did summer internship in the plan approval department of IRS head office in Powai. We had a great opportunity to interact with senior professionals in maritime and to know exactly the role of classification society in maritime sector.

Had an opportunity for internship during second year summer break during Btech. Dempo was one of the major players who have lot of orders for ore barges. The internship was very insightful providing us what the shipbuilding industry is all about and what is expected out of a Naval Architect.
