As a test engineer I develop test processes to validate our prototype builds and work with the responsible engineering teams to improve their designs. The coding is usually done with in Python.We work with next generation technology and push through prototyping issues to make great products.

As a process engineer I was responsible for owning and improving the manufacturing process on our high power laser line. This involved continuous improvement efforts following the Lean and Six Sigma processes. I was responsible for in depth troubleshooting of failing units and driving corrective action to resolve the common failure modes. Often working with electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to find deeper understanding to problems, then working with the design engineers to make long term improvements.I use JMP to process and analyze data.

At DTNA interns work alongside engineers and shop technicians, processing data compiled on the semi-trucks, fixing/replacing failed parts and complete any side jobs as they come up. Many projects given are meant to develop the personal ability to problem solve and find creative ways to complete the task given in the most efficient and effective manner. The projects required strict documentation in order to fully understand the complexity of the problems that arose while the semi-trucks undergo the testing process.
