Provide program administration and technical leadership to the FDOT Construction Division. Develop and implement FDOT policies, specifications, and procedures that ensure efficient, and effective construction practices that incorporate state of the art technologies. Build and promote partnerships with the Florida Transportation Builders Association, the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers, legislators and intermodal transportation system customers to stay current with changing transportation trends and effectively allocate limited funds. Serve on national, statewide and industry committees that set construction policy. Provide guidance and supervise a team of specialty engineering disciplines including environmental, drainage,pavements, geotechnical, structural, maintenance of traffic, system operations, alternative contracting, design/build, and contractor prequalification.
