I have been involved in leading the digital transformation of leading accounting firm Grant Thornton for more than a decade. I helped pioneer Grant Thornton's social business strategy and oversaw the implementation of our first social collaboration platform, and also our recent transition from Jive to the Office 365 platform. I also helped the firm engage clients and the public in a series of online community events around the UK in support of the firm’s Vibrant Economy initiative. More recently, working directly with the CIO and under the sponsorship of the CEO and COO, I have been working to bring together a guiding coalition of digital guides and leaders to better join up external client experience and internal digital capabilities, helping to create a three-tier digital strategy that covers optimisation, transformation and innovation. Recent key areas of focus have been;- as Head of Social Business, developing the team by identifying and recruiting people who are making exceptional use of social channels to develop their business and redeploying them as social business advocates within the firm- enabling the creation of a distributed digital strategy across the firm by connecting our existing digital experts and mapping our capabilities against future need - working with our communications and information systems teams to investigate community building technology, the development of our Enterprise Social Network and how our clients and future clients connect with us online. Past projects include;- implementing our Enterprise Social Network (ESN) to our 4,500 employees and designing our successful launch strategy - review and refresh of the firm's Intranet and establishing digital channels for employee communication- developing our social media strategy, policy and guidelines
