As the Director of this busy commercial repair depot base in Newport, I oversee the day-to-day delivery of excellent customer service and site profitability by motivating, supporting and managing each department team to deliver a quality repair – on time, every time.We deliver exceptional market-leading customer service by actively managing the delivery of a first-class customer service journey. This is achieved by proactive control of the customer experience, from initial booking in, to the return of the vehicle.My key objectives are: To deliver financial results in line with our business targets and objectivesTo manage site resources and costs in order to optimise capability and profitabilityTo actively and effectively manage client and supplier relationshipsTo manage compliance of all company processes including Health & Safety and manufacturer standards.To deliver structured individual performance management processes, motivating and mentoring my managers to support and encourage their teams.

Responsible for the overall running of the Newport Depot. Working closely with the company directors, I am responsible for the operational management of the site.In addition to overseeing the team of Estimators and Workshop Controllers and Departmental Managers, most of my time is spent maintaining first-class working relationships with our clients, and new business development.

This role requires extensive knowledge of the departmental processes, from JOSAM chassis alignment, straightening jig work, panel beating, paint prepping, spraying and finishing.Ensuring all works carried out with due regard to health, safety and welfare of both employees and customers.

The main purpose of this role is to oversee the paint shop and to allocate work accordingly amongst the painters.It is a hands-on role working to exceptionally high standards set by BSI and individual Manufacturers alike. This role involves: Supervision and motivation of a teamPlanning work and ordering parts to ensure vehicles are ready when required.Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product/process knowledge.Maintain the work area and equipment in a very clean and tidy condition and orderly administration of your work.Reporting and seeking advice on any problems highlighted during the paint process so that these may be overcome and the customer kept informed.Providing supervision and 'on the job' instruction to Apprentices in order that they develop the practical skills required.Ensuring all works carried out with due regard to health, safety and welfare of both employees and customers. Performing preparation and paint to an extremely high standard.Having great attention to detail to ensure an exceptional paint finish.
