As Digital Manager, I was responsible for devising, leading and implementing the digital strategy for 2 schools based in the West End of Newcastle. It was my responsibility to ensure that the direction of digital services were in line with the objectives, brand, values and aims of each schools’ unique improvement plan. In my role, I was also a hands on Senior PHP Developer and 85% of my daily work was creating bespoke websites/web apps, graphical content and written content for distribution through digital channels, including digital signage. This role also included co-ordinating, priority setting and project managing six staff. This covereddirect line management and performing all associated HR related activities. On a daily basis, I took the lead on maintaining and enhancing two distinct interactive Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) and the public websites for the Trust. These services were built using OO PHP, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, MySQL and other appropriate JavaScript libraries as needed to model front end behaviours.Under my supervision, multiple bespoke web apps were built to digitise officeprocesses, the school's reporting functions, student data tracking and communication across the Trust.
