Financial Management- Play a leading role in ensuring solid financial practices, internal controls, and compliance with any funder requirements for a $1.1 million org- Analyze strength of the org’s financial position and report to BoD annually- Enter all bookkeeping entries into Quickbooks;- Lead monthly process of preparing the books for outside accountant to perform acct recons & generate monthly reports- Lead coordination with the outside auditor and tax preparer annually- Set monthly & annual expenditure goals for restricted funding sources & ensure monthly financial allocations are in line with goals - Manage monthly financial allocations of personnel time to restricted funding sources. Ensure staff time entries are correctly coded & manage personnel exp allocations w/grant requirements- Perform monthly financial allocations of direct expenses to comply w/grant requirements- Compile & submit monthly & quarterly financial reports to funders- Train the BoD biannually on nonprofit financeGrants Management- Successful submission of timely, accurate programmatic grant reports to govt funders, including tracking all deadlines, coordinating staff’s timely contributions to the reports, and drafting content- Understanding & ensuring compliance with all programmatic & financial requirements of multiple govt grants (handbooks governing OVW, Cal OES, and State Bar of Ca Legal Services Trust Fund requirements)- Compile program data from FVAP’s database to report requested metrics to funders; - Lead communications with govt funders- Ensure ongoing compliance with multiple grant requirements, including submitting training & other materials in advance to govt funders, develop & manage effective systems to track complianceOperations & Administration- Manage ops & admin, including identify needs of the org, finding the best solutions, and implementing systems & processes- Manage insurance plan renewals- Manage regulatory filings with at least 2 states
