He has executed numerous M&A, financing and strategic partnership transactions totaling about $2.5 billion for a broad array of middle market and emerging growth companies in medical technology, life sciences and healthcare services. After shattering his ankle, Paul began to focus on foot & ankle orthopedics, out of personal passion. Paul has now originated and closed a dozen orthopedic transactions since 2016, and has been the most active investment banker globally in orthopedics since the start of 2019.Prior to England & Company, Paul Headed/Co-Headed Healthcare Investment Banking at Mesirow Financial, Landmark Ventures and Cascadia Capital. He was also a senior healthcare investment banker at Burnham Securities Inc. (formerly Drexel Burnham Lambert), Nexus Health Capital and was a Senior Associate at Robertson Stephens & Company.Prior to investment banking, Paul ran a disease management informatics and finance/contracting group at Schering-Plough (now Merck), and worked in corporate development and sales at Wyeth-Lederle Laboratories (now Pfizer).
