This was a fixed term role while Standards New Zealand is in a transitional phase before being fully integrated into the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.- Managing the development and publication of New Zealand standards. This involves the development of draft standards through the convening technical committees and of managing the public consultation process. Subsequently facilitating the process of the committee achieving consensus agreement on the final text. The final document is then ratified by the Standards Council and published as a New Zealand Standard.- Liaison with Standards Australia on joint New Zealand and Australian standards.- Managing the on-going process of formal fire protection standard interpretations.

Networks is the business unit within Spark Connect which delivers new and improved communications functionality across Fixed, Voice and Mobile networks. There are a large number of complex projects underway at any time. - Preparation of monthly reports for General Manager Networks. The key audience for these reports was the Spark CEO.- Maintaining the integrated delivery plan of all projects and software releases impacting key production systems across Spark, including preparing customised reports as required for a range of audiences and addressing scheduling conflict issues as necessary. - Analysing reports, identifying key indicators and trends to highlight to senior management.- Developing project/programme/portfolio metrics and identifying key metrics for trend analysis.

Two large programmes of change within ACC were using i-lign as their Programme Management Information System (PMIS) but it was not used consistently across the organisation. The new Chief Executive initiated a reassessment and realignment of the direction of ACC. The introduction of new initiatives was a timely opportunity to capture the full programme of work across the organisation in i-lign. Responsibilities - Configured a new instance of i-lign and populating this with the initial programmes and projects.- Liaison with key stakeholders to demonstrate how i-lign would address their business needs and discussing product enhancements and additional functionality with the vendor. - Member of the team creating the POD structure as part of the implementation of the Enterprise PMO.
