Credi.com is a loan management platform originally aimed at the bank of mum and dad. Since startingat credi.com it has now evolved into an enterprise loan management platform for use by financial professionalssuch as accountants to manage loans for their clients. Credi has been featured on a number of TV shows andhas gained enormous momentum and raised a large chunk of capitalMy initial task was to scale the existing platform and implement a CI/CD pipeline to increase resilience anddevelopment efficiency. Without the luxury of time or budget to rebuild the code base, the existing php api washardened and ported to AWS Elastic beanstalk for ease of deployment and scalability, and a drone.io CI/CDpipeline was implemented for the api and frontend applications.Once these were in place, the new market for financial professionals was discovered and Credi Partner wasborn. This uncovered new requirements and I was responsible for the architecture of a new React js basedfrontend to replace the dated Angular frontend used for the retail customers. During the next 6 months up to July,we focused heavily on the Partner platform and ramping up a remote team of developers in Nepal. Still in MVPmode, we were heavily constrained by the existing api codebase and I looked for innovative ways to beginreplacing it. I was able to call on my experience regarding AWS lambda and API gateway topropose a solution for migrating the codebase to a serverless/graphql architecture in a piecemeal approach.
