Learned the business side of consulting and the nuances of leading clients while managing functional aspects of a firm.Led a multimillion dollar aerospace R&D organization to change the way it makes investment decisions and balances its R&D portfolio across technology and business model axes. Defined and implemented the strategic shift of a multimillion dollar information service provider to emphasize customer segmentation and data-driven decision making to improve the customer experience and customer satisfaction.

Learned to lead senior executives through challenging changes; developed a high standard for professionalism and results; and gained experience and expertise through an incredible set of mentors.Led the integration of a multibillion dollar telecommunication equipment provider’s acquisition of a competitor; integrated functions including Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, Sales, Services, and IT, speeding the transition of the acquisition and saving the company over $15M in annual operational costs.Led the development and implementation of a Sales and Operations Planning process to improve planning of the operational maintenance of a multibillion dollar equipment procurement and maintenance organization; the improved process incorporated customer needs into the decision process and reduced waste while increasing productivity.

Learned to lead in high pressure environments with little tolerance for failure; developed a leadership style based on caring for subordinates, decisiveness, and communication; and forged a character of honor, integrity, and respect. Senior operations officer in the 82nd Airborne Division responsible for the defense of Victory Base, Iraq, home to 4,400 U.S. soldiers, including the senior military commander in theater; worked closely with personnel from multiple countries and organizations to coordinate security and ensure senior officials received the information necessary to make critical decisions.Senior battle captain on multiple combat missions in northern Afghanistan, responsible for coordinating subordinate element operations and telecommunications interoperability to ensure mission accomplishment.
