Direct the planning and operations of 5 hospital departments: The Acute Rehabilitation Unit, Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech Therapy, and Adult Day Services. Supervise 4 direct reports and approximately 60 FTE. Currently leading efforts to grow Acute Rehabilitation, PT, OT, and Speech programs in a market with steadily increasing competition. Design and implement process changes on an ongoing basis to improve the efficiency and productivity of the all departments. Restructured the Community Wellness Services Department to better meet the strategic plan of BroMenn Healthcare. Responsible for supervision of clinical care provided by the rehab staff, program building, and marketing of the rehabilitation services departments. Direct Report to the hospital COO. Maintained regulatory compliance of the department as related to applicable state practice acts, governmental and accreditating organizations. Achieved improved efficiencies in productivity of PT, OT, and Speech staff. Led the rehab team (approximately 15 FTE) in all aspects of care in Acute, Skilled, and Outpatient settings. Responsible for recruitment and retention of exceptional employees. Assured that high quality rehabilitation services are provided to patients/clients while maintaining appropriate staffing levels. Built, implemented and coordinated programs with the Occupational Medicine physician and Corporate Health sales & marketing representative to offer a team oriented approach to care for employers and injured workers in the region. Facilitated the hospital's Employee Health in conjunction with the Risk Manager and housewide safety team by providing work site analysis and recommendations. Operations team member, assisted in policy and procedure writing for the organization and handled day to day issues throughout the hospital, ambulatory services and medical office building. Committee chair, exploring the addition of Wellness as a facility service line. Member of committees addressing JCAHO patient safety standards and the addition of intermediate care beds on the Skilled Nursing Unit. On the housewide case management team guiding patient care and managing lengths of stay. Created the processes for ordering, selling and coding Durable Medical Equipment (HCPCS & ICD 9) sold through the hospital pharmacies.

Started with Memorial Health System as a staff physical therapist and was fortunate to discover a number of opportunities to grow. Positions held with this system include: staff PT, PTII, Clinical Team Leader - Stroke and Brain Injury Teams in IRF, and finally Manager of Rehabilitation Services at the Visiting Nurse Association.
