Because of greed and a lack of awareness, growth is choked; communities stay in poverty; and family livelihoods are at risk.This makes me both so angry at a broken system, and proud of the work Sunday is doing to dismantle it.Sunday is a 501(c)3 that has created an innovative (and generous) microfinance program called Donation Lending™. HOW IT WORKS: When you and I donate tax-deductible funds to Sunday, Director Bryan Greenwood and his team, in turn, give small donations (classified as loans) to these shop owners.We have volunteers in the field - made up of Ph.D's, professors, and entrepreneurs - who source, vet, and propose these loans for funding. THE DIFFERENCE: They DO NOT charge interest or fees; and their repayments go to financing other entrepreneurs like them with the same terms. They get to expand or stay afloat, AND they get to pay it forward. And our investment keeps on giving.
