Paul Vasilescu serves as the CTO for Aerolab and is responsible for defining the engineering strategy for the organization and overseeing Aerolab's engineering and development activities.Paul Vasilescu joined Aerolab’s leadership team in 2014. Under Paul’s leadership, Aerolab has expanded upon the company’s wind tunnel design expertise to include extensive use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and CFD driven geometric optimization in the design process which collectively increase wind tunnel performance and efficiency while reducing facility construction costs. These advancements have allowed the company to expand its wind tunnel offerings in existing and new market segments.Aerolab was founded in 1947 and quickly revolutionized the landscape of both research and education oriented wind tunnels. Since then, Aerolab has reliably transformed complex aerodynamic, instrumentation, software, and logistical requirements into fully functional test facilities for hundreds of satisfied customers in the academic, research, government, and commercial markets both in the United States and around the world. Aerolab's specialities include the design, fabrication, construction and installation of aeronautical wind tunnel facilities, oceanographic and climatic simulation facilities, and indoor skydiving facilities.

Paul Vasilescu joined ADFS during its founding and has served as lead engineer and project manager for the company’s primary development efforts including, the AD-150 VTOL UAS, the AD-150 propulsion system, and the LH-320 and LH-321 Aerodynamic Rotating Launchers.
