Founded a ShoutCast internet radio station that plays music made by musicians living in and around Washington, DC. The station automatically runs 24/7 and is free to listen to.

* Led a 4 person team to develop the Multimodal Operational Test Harness, a Java Swing tool to capture biometrics from subjects using iris and face cameras and palmprint scanners, create XML messages from that data and submit them to the server JMS queue. Wrote code, JiBX bindings, JUnit tests, Maven builds and documentation; created Java WebStart deployment and UML design diagrams; and trained operators. Deployed Redmine bug-tracking tool to coordinate defects. * Developed Java Swing code for the Candidate Verification Tool, a GUI for manual fingerprint analysis. Used the Matisse layout tool in Netbeans. * Developed Java web services deployed on Oracle Application Server to retrieve and transform data and deliver it to Business Objects reports. * Developed message-driven Enterprise JavaBeans for propagating messages between WebSphere MQ queues and Oracle AQ queues. Wrote configuration files for Oracle resource adapters for queue communication.

* Developed Java Swing code for the Joint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance project, a battlefield mapping visualization tool. Wrote SQL code, Ant builds and UML diagrams. * Developed Java Swing code for the Community of Interest Infosphere project with the Air Force Research Labs. Wrote algorithms to relate and rank separate documents using ontologies. * Developed servlets, portlets and JSPs for the Persistent Surveillance and Dissemination System of Systems project.

* Developed Java server code for Redknife, an e-commerce start-up in California. Wrote servlets for administration and reporting user interfaces. * Developed C++ code for two Adobe Acrobat plug-ins, Compose and AnnoDoc. * Developed C++ code for the Document Conversion Server, a system to translate TIFF images into PDF files using Adobe Acrobat and LSF load distribution software.

* Developed PVCS Build Makefiles to build C5's cross-platform implementation of CORBA. Wrote shell scripts to automate build processes. * Created installers for the software product in InstallShield.

* Developed ActiveX COM components in Visual Basic 5 for a client/server database application. * Wrote SQL stored procedures for Sybase SQL Anywhere. * Wrote Active Server Pages for the reporting system.
