After retiring from EY in June, I accepted a role with EY Europe, based in Barcelona, to help accelerate the growth of the EMIEA business. My responsibility focuses on educating clients and partners on our solutions that leverage the platform for both IT and the Enterprise, I bring almost four decades of experience in IT strategy, organizational alignment, application development, systems implementation, operating model transformation and IT infrastructure management, cost optimization and benchmarking to my work. I’ve helped Fortune 1000 companies derive added value from information technology and I have deep experience working in diverse industries ranging from high technology, aerospace & defense, automotive, healthcare and financial services. My strategic guidance has encompassed IT centralization, M&A integration, strategic sourcing, offshore/near shore product development, data center consolidation/rationalization, acquisition integration and business/IT alignment. Some of my notable projects have included: developing the IT strategy and organizational realignment for a 350-person IT organization in Washington; performing applications rationalization, IT cost optimization and service costing assessments for Fortune 100 manufacturing companies; leading formation of the IT function for the divestiture of a medical technology company; and developing the IT governance function for the multibillion dollar IT budget of a leading aerospace and defense company.When I’m not working, I’m also a committed endurance athlete. I ride regularly in long distance and social cycling events. I helped organize EY’s participation in the “Waves to Wine” bike challenge, which included a 180-mile ride over two days and raised almost $60,000 for Multiple Sclerosis.
