Working as a member of the Front Office Solutions (FOS) Group, engaging with the business to develop new IT solutions as well as supporting exiting internal systems.

A front office Rapid Application Development role directly supporting Fixed Income Traders, Sales Traders and Operational staff who made up the Transition Management (TM) group. The group manages the costs and risks while restructuring client pension/investment portfolios. The role focused on supporting the business existing technology suite, while implementing a greenfield project delivering a market leading TM - Order Management System (OMS).Working with a broad spectrum of technologies, the system was developed utilizing realtime market data, using the firms internal analytics system and trade optimization engine to carryout pre-trade analysis and recommend trading strategies, with FIX and SWIFT messaging for trading and settlement.

Assigned to Morgan Stanley as a consultant, working as a member of the Entitlements team in Prime Brokerage Technology Group, supporting and re-developing the system that administered access levels/rights of both the firms clients [prime broker employees] and internal employees [operation users and prime broker representatives] to safeguard clients confidentiality of trading details and strategies across 13+ applications. The system is a core component for both the Prime Brokerage client web portal, and internal applications. Using a combination of data feeds; system will dynamically work out the user access rights.Projects involved securing the client APIs, data-feed processes, and web services. Enhanced the system to audit all entitlement changes from both user and system process. Migrating the system onto a scalable platform, hosted with tomcat servers. Optimized Sybase stored procedures to improve service handle request benchmarks.

Developed and supported the Trade Reporting and Confirmation system (TRC), a STP system providing trade affirm broker matching, block allocation trading and client confirmation, regulatory reporting for both fixed income and equities trades. Dealt with 400+ users ranging from traders, middle office and back office staff, along with heads of business units in European regional offices at solving critical issues. Operating in a high pressure environment due to the strategic importance the system brought to the firm, as being a business driver, resolution was paramount in order to maintain market leading end to end trade settlement benchmarks with prime clients located globally. Java developer on Trade Reporting and Confirmation System, developed the teams site with jsp/servlet's to monitor system processes and data queues. Creating a java swing client utilizing weblogic t3 event services to monitor and control the EJB database caching system.A developer with the Global One team who support the firms security lending system. Developed the teams Microsoft Outlook form to assist multiple support groups with setting up new system users and track the account creation progress. Developed the divisions announcement/sign-off for technology production releases. Created using a combination of java webapp, Outlook Form, MS Exchange scripting. The system lead to the development of a firm wide system.
