My first formal Project Management role, working as part of the Business Improvement Team on new client take-on projects and service improvement initiatives for existing clients.

Following an acquisition by Trustmarque, I was given the opportunity to take on a Business Analyst role having originally joined as Office/HR Manager. I spent 2 years as BA on various eCommerce projects, including working with Government agencies to develop an eTendering solution (TenderTrust).

As Payments Manager I was responsible for paying the Annual Maintenance Grants to 1200 schools in the ‘grant-maintained sector’. With 8 direct reports, I developed my leadership capabilities and was involved in recruitment, appraisals and the ultimate redundancy of the team due to the closure of the Agency in 1999.
