Additionally, I proudly serve on the board of a non-profit organization called Transpire Help, which was established in 2016 with a mission to support LGBTQ+ individuals, particularly those who identify as gender diverse, on their path to recovery from substance use. Transpire Help operates solely through the dedication of volunteers. Our organization plays a crucial role in providing financial assistance to underinsured and underfunded LGBTQIA+ individuals. We understand that not everyone has the means to access the necessary care, especially when it comes to rehabilitation. Therefore, we offer financial support to those who require it, ensuring they have the resources needed to seek appropriate treatment. Moreover, we go beyond financial aid by facilitating access to LGBTQIA+ affirming substance use treatment facilities. These facilities offer all-gender sober living housing, cover medication costs (including hormone replacement therapy), provide case management services, and supply gender-affirming clothing, binders, wigs, and hygiene products. By combining my expertise in Utilization Review with my commitment to Transpire Help, I strive to make a positive impact in the lives of LGBTQ+ individuals facing substance abuse challenges. I am passionate about creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for those in need, and I am dedicated to driving change within the behavioral healthcare field.
