I completed a Criminal Justice & Public Policy major and a Biology minor in the Bachelor of Arts, Honours degree program. While sitting on the University of Guelph Student Senate Caucus, I worked with multiple subcommittees and working groups, to assist in the development of educational and administrative policies.I’ve been privileged to lead numerous volunteering initiatives outside of the University to foster positive and meaningful relationships with the community! I have worked as a Group Leader with Big Brother Big Sister Guelph, a coordinator for programs with Empowerment Squared, and also co-founded a pen-pal program to support long-term care home residents who have struggled with social isolation since the COVID-19 pandemic.While criminology and public policy analysis remains a focus of mine, I am passionate about equipping myself with a critical and diverse perspective of these areas. Specifically, my background in biology and environmental sustainability research, as well as my volunteer experience with vulnerable populations, have enriched the interdisciplinary dimensions of my perspective.
