Assisting Dr. Alexander Flueck in his research project by developing a new architecture for a Smart Grid Application. The project is funded by the Department of Energy, US Government. The goal of this project is to simulate the working of physical smart grids including all the 3 phases of power dynamics and analyze how the system reacts to a fault (Faster than real time).Redesigned data structures that represent the physical models such that it reduces page misses at cache level of a distributed system which gave a 10% boost in the application performance.Created Python scripts which generate C programming source code required for analysis of the smart grid model. We could achieve up to 90% automation in generating this source code for any new systems hence lead to rapid development of modeling new smart grid systems. Also, developed Python scripts which act as testing and reporting application that tests the daily build of the research application for its correctness which could be affected by the integration of any new code. This generates summary reports and highlights any anomaly in the output which includes undesirable output or performance degradation.

As a software developer in a fast growing company, I was a part of a dynamic team which worked on the agile process for functioning and was constantly working on developing state of the art analytical tools which the company likes to call it "IRON MAN SUITE" for all analytical process. Contributed towards the development of various modules within the tool both individually and as a key player in different teams. One of the major projects that I worked was on a module which is responsible data visualization, developed to visualize data with varying scales and complexities. The application was developed on flex framework which provided a rich UI/UX, and I have owned and maintained the data visualization module which was to become a part of the next-gen module that is, to make it a module that can be called by a web application as well.Implemented Java classes which are responsible for manipulating and cleaning the raw data fetched from different sources and warehoused on the server. Designed new and normalized existing MySQL/SQLite schemas which records user selections, reports generated, user insights in form of comments and much more so that it can be used to auto-generate any new projects based on a similar analysis.HTML and jQuerry (jqPlot) framework for data visualization. Responsible for analyzing and aiding the design decision of embedding web elements into a stand-alone desktop application over the usage of native support provided for data visualization within the flex framework based on the results produced by a POC conducted by me.Have been awarded twice for an efficient and consistent performance throughout my tenure in the company.
