DesignPhiladelphia (formerly the Center for Architecture and Design) provides Philadelphia with educational programs, exhibitions, and a public forum to explore architecture, urban planning, and design, allowing visitors the opportunity to understand how these disciplines affect us all in our daily lives. As Chair I will be working with our Board of Directors and Center staff to continue the development of signature programs such as the DesignPhiladelphia Festival, the Louis I. Kahn Award, the Edmund N. Bacon Urban Design Awards, and the Architecture + Design in Education program, and the continued growth of design education and outreach to the public. DesignPhiladelphia is a 501(c)3 education non-profit organization, and shares a strong relationship with AIA Philadelphia, the Community Design Collaborative, as well as other related trade organizations.

As Director I helped to organize, staff and run a number of events, including lecture series, construction tours, CANstruction, Spooktacular, ARE study groups, and others. I was also a member of the chapter Board of Directors during this time, acting as the voice of Associate members and Emerging Professionals.
