We offer systemic, scalable, and comprehensive solutions for global mental health by tapping into the power of community. We recruit, train, and employ non-professionals to provide people what they need to recover from common mental disorders via a range of simple to complex treatments in a step by step fashion. Watson is a new university model in Boulder, Colorado for student innovators, leaders and entrepreneurs aged 18-23 that includes short master courses from the world’s foremost leaders, entrepreneurs, and thinkers including a co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people and more; intensive mentorship; and training in the entrepreneurial skills of empathy, creativity, resilience, grit, bootstrapping, team building and fundraising. I provide guidance and feedback for student scholars helping to develop and advance solutions to the toughest challenges facing the world.

The Wayfaring Band is not a rock-and-roll band, but a band of travelers. We create travel opportunities for adults who experience special needs and leadership fellows, facilitating an inclusive culture built on the principle of mutual aid. Our fellows are invigorated by self-awareness, social impact, and adventure. They participate in a leadership curriculum which explores principles such as mutual aid, radical inclusivity, and global citizenry. We navigate the world as one merry band of travelers, reminding ourselves and the people we encounter that everyone has special needs, and everyone has special gifts. Our dream is to model our vision of inclusivity everywhere we travel, fundamentally altering the way that people experience difference.

I instruct judo to children and adults experiencing disabilities and others with visual impairments. This fosters interpersonal skills, self-confidence, and improves coordination.

I facilitate weeklong cabin activities and impart an unforgettable time and adventure for people experiencing disabilities in the remarkable mountains of Colorado.

I am responsible for leading a two-hour recitation weekly focused on the intersection of leadership, ethics, and community involvement. I create lesson plans from scratch, assign relevant homework, and grade all assignments. I am witness to extraordinary conversations and personal triumphs.

I am a live-in counselor and peer mentor. I facilitate 40 + students in their academic and interpersonal ventures while at University.

I am tasked to communicate with various campus organizations in organizing events to promote Microsoft merchandise and products. I use social media to garner support and build a virtual network of supporters to bolster brand image and to complete monthly campaigns.

I develop written materials for the beanstalk website, online training, and marketing materials. In addition, I research potential partnerships, synthesize collected data, and identify new stakeholders and users.
