Senior Qa Automation Engineer
CurrentI participated in two projects as a subcontractor. Cargotec Aug 2022 - Apr 2024As the sole QA engineer on a team focused on computer vision, I played a key role in supporting and maintaining the infrastructure for AI model training. My responsibilities spanned across both manual and automated testing (50/50), ensuring seamless updates and smooth integration of components developed by other departments. I regularly fine-tuned parameters and managed the setup and execution of Jenkins jobs for software installers. For test automation, I utilized Python and Robot Framework, ensuring robust and reliable processes. This role required a deep understanding of both the development lifecycle and AI training environments, balancing manual testing with the automation of critical tasks.Valmet Apr 2024 - current timeIn this role, I developed a suite of automated tests and led the transition from Selenium to Playwright, implementing the Page Object Model (POM) to enhance maintainability and scalability. I also optimized the testing framework by integrating Python libraries for internal logic, which significantly increased the reliability of the tests, enabled more sophisticated validations, and improved overall test maintainability. Robot Framework was retained at the top layer for readability, ensuring smooth integration with existing tools like test runners and listeners, and preserving compatibility with external test management systems such as Allure.
