Pavol Šveda is a professional conference interpreter and translator with extensive experience in high-level event interpretation, including technical and legal domains. As a sworn translator, he specializes in the precise translation of legal texts and legislation. His work also includes published literary translations, mainly in the field of popular science.Pavol is an accredited interpreter for EU institutions, a member of the International Association of Conference Interpreters (AIIC), and currently serves as the president of the Slovak Association of Translators and Interpreters.In academia, he is an associate professor at Comenius University in Bratislava, where his research focuses on interpreter training, the sociology of translation and interpreting, and the role of technology in the field. He has authored multiple articles and monographs, contributing to the advancement of translation studies and the development of future language professionals.
