Dealt with GAIL and other Oil and Gas sector Projects

I am an Electrical Engineer, having diverse experience of over 37 years at IOCL, a Fortune 500 company, in various facets of petroleum pipeline systems. I held the position of General Manager (I/C)- Operations, heading Operations, Maintenance , Inspection, Technical Services and HSE Deptt. And General Manager Projects , Maintenance and Inspection (M&I) and HSE Depts. at IOCL headquarters in Noida. In the past, I have also headed Viramgam Tank Farm location, one of the most complex installations of IOCL, as Base In-charge. Other posts included Head of Dept. and Station In-charge at various locations such as Abu Road, Rajkot, Head Office Noida of cross-country pipelines. I have handled 17 projects in the capacity of General Manager covering Design, Engineering of Electrical and Cathodic Protection (CP) System, HT Motors with VFD for pipeline stations, tank farms and cross-country pipeline. As GM(M&I), I was responsible for integrity management and upkeep of 11200 km pipelines network with a capacity of over 75 MMTPA + 10 MMSCMD gas pipeline, 178 Mainline engines and HT motors (capacity > 2000 HP each), 6 tank farms having 68 tanks with storage capacity of 5 million MT of crude oil, 5 SPMs. As GM (HSE), my major responsibility was to ensure safety for smooth operation across Pipelines Div having 11200 km pipeline and 78 stations through statutory compliance, up-gradation of fire protection system as per OISD 116 & 117, monitoring of safety and environment management system, liaison with Ministry, OISD and statutory agencies.
