Working on all the DBA tasks starting from installing and configuring of SQL Server 2005/2008 R2 to retiring databases. Installations, configuration and security settings for SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2008R2 stand-alone servers.  High Availability of databases using replication, log shipping and mirroring. Daily activities include monitoring Databases, checking error logs, checking the log file and free space in the data drives, connectivity of the databases Log checking, Space management and migration of Data.  Handling Deadlock and blocking issues and troubleshooting accordingly.  Experience in creating maintenance plans to perform index de-fragmentation, re-indexing and update the index statistics. Working on query performance tuning with re-write and index recommendation. Experience in Patching and hot fixes . Creation of databases, refreshing them onto non-production from the backups of database from production environment etc. Restoring database from old backups due to user requests, disaster recovery etc. Managing database security, creating user accounts, application logins and assigning roles to them.  Experience in creating jobs, alerts, SQL mail agent  Analyze, troubleshoot and solve problems in a timely and accurate manner.  Worked on Migrated SQL server 2008 to SQL Server 2012 in Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Enterprise Edition. Managed the migration of SQL Server 2008 databases to SQL Server 2012. Upgrading the databases to SQL Server 2005 to 2008/2008R2/2012  Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system.  Involved in troubleshooting, resolving data integrity and monitoring performance issues.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
