Acting FD in parallel for PAM, Saint Gobain's UAE Pipes & Fittings distribution business. Member of the Executive Committee & POA for the Gypsum Activity’s GCC business comprising several legal entities, activities & manufacturing operations in UAE, Qatar, KSA and Oman. Working closely with the Regional Management, Activity MD and Excom to run, grow & strengthen the business, develop the strategy & people.

Responsible for a specialist team (commercial & industrial controllers) managing some key development projects for the Activity, following successful conclusion of the Pricing Project: - Management of the Activity's strategic/long-range plan- M&A support and competitor watch- Commercial analysis and cross-country commercial performance benchmarking - Controlling support for plants worldwide, within the 'World Class Manufacturing' programme

Managed an international pricing project with a colleague from Central Marketing, helping to improve operating profit by 42M Euros on a global revenue of 3.5B Euros, through the identification and targeting of pricing leakages and opportunities. Developed a methodology with Roland Berger strategy consultants during a Pilot project in France before taking the project in-house and directly running on-site projects across the Activity’s businesses worldwide.Delivered significant profit improvements from projects in over 30 Gyproc businesses worldwide over a two year campaign travelling to and running projects directly with the sales teams across most of West & East Europe, India, China, Thailand & supporting locally-run projects in N America & S Africa.Provided the catalyst for a major evolution in the sales culture and reward mechanisms across the activity changing from traditional volume-driven to value- & margin-based selling, using a data-driven approach to convince the local management.

Key role in the transition team following Saint Gobain’s takeover of BPB PLC in 2005, replacing the outgoing BPB Controller. Personal and professional relocation to the SG Paris HQ in 2006. Helped with the post-acquisition integration to align BPB to SG accounting & reporting practices and establish the new SG Gypsum Activity & finance function.- Managed a team responsible for the Activity's reporting and FP&A to SG Group and finance support to the Gypsum Activity's 45 business units worldwide.

Managed a project for the European businesses at BPB to design & implement Cognos budgeting tools during a global ERP roll-out, prior to BPB’s acquisition by Saint Gobain. Realised successful projects for 100+ multi-functional users at over 30 sites.

Reporting to the divisional Finance Controller at Selecta, Europe’s leading vending company, then recently acquired by Compass Group, the world’s largest catering company. Responsible for post-acquisition finance integration, FP&A, budgeting & reporting for the new Division across Europe.
