About Payton Conner

My name is Payton Conner and I am a second-year Animal Science major specializing in Animal Biology at the University of Florida! I am looking for experience to build and strengthen my VMCAS and resume. I currently want to specialize in Equine medicine, but I am looking for experience in all areas! I previously did an 8-month-long internship at a general practice vet clinic as a veterinary assistant. My experience there gave me great clinical skills as well as teamwork and collaboration skills. I have also been taking some relevant courses at UF to gain additional hands-on experience with horses at the Horse Teaching Unit in Gainesville and the UF Equine Sciences Center in Ocala. These classes have strengthened my time management skills as well as further increased my comfortability working with horses in farm settings. I am currently involved in the Pre-Vet club on campus and am looking to get involved in other organizations as well.
