I am a Cal Poly SLO graduate with a BS in physics. My interests lie in material science and the renewable energy field. As a passionate experimentalist, I do my best work collaborating with others in scientific settings. My most recent project was the design and construction of a photogrammetry set up to convert pictures of plant roots into 3D models in order to analyze the fractal nature of plant roots. Under the guidance of Dr. Colleen Marlow, my lab group and I worked in teams to handle various aspects of this project. After using SolidWorks to design certain parts and an Arduino to control the camera, we were able to automate the set up. We then used MATLAB to process the data from the device. It was a great project to close my undergraduate career on as it employed so many of the electronics, coding, and experimental skills I'd learned over the course of the past four years.I'm currently seeking work that will allow me to expand on my scientific skills, ideally in one of the aforementioned fields.
