As a third-year sociology student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a strong interest in dentistry, I have accumulated 400 hours of dental experience, including 250+ hours of chairside dental assisting. I have learned from a diverse range of specialists, such as general dentists, pediatric dentists, and others. These experiences have provided me with a well-rounded understanding of patient care, clinical operations, and the importance of precision and empathy in the dental profession.I am actively continuing to shadow dental professionals, allowing my hours and expertise to grow every day as I deepen my knowledge and skills in the field.My academic background in sociology allows me to approach dentistry with a unique perspective, emphasizing effective communication, cultural sensitivity, and a deep understanding of patient dynamics.
