I am an illustrator and visual development artist for animation and games, with a broad love of visual storytelling.For many years before I began my education in the arts, I worked in the equestrian industry as a part-time groom for Carthage, NC based ByWay Farms. During my time as a groom I had the privilege of traveling with the ByWay Farms show team to horse shows across the east coast, providing care to the team's horses and providing assistance to their riders. I attribute much of my present work ethic to this experience, and my life long love of horses remains ever prevalent in my artistic pursuits.For the past several years I have been a part-time intern at Cary, NC based digital marketing agency Good Soup Creative, managing various client's images and documents for press and blog pages. Working at Good Soup provided much of my foundational skills in important digital software including Photoshop and Illustrator, and has lent to my learning in and understanding of client management.Currently I work as a Lead Student Representative at SCAD, fostering unique and welcoming experiences for each prospective student that I have the pleasure of interacting with on campus. This includes leading daily admission tours and regular SCAD admission events that help these students learn more about SCAD and whether it’s the perfect fit for them! As a lead I take on a managerial role as well, managing a team of about 17 including their training and scheduling.In the future I hope to find myself working in the video game space utilizing my visual development skills in some capacity- but above all my previous experiences have indicated to me that my great desire lies in creating unique and memorable visuals with a team of similarly passionate individuals.
