As the barn manager at NHR, I did everything including: everyday barn chores, exercising horses, saddle fitting horses and updating charts, feeding and watering all 28 horses, running and assisting with summer camps, and much more. Other, jobs included training new volunteers, and assisting with formal fundraising events. Before becoming an employee, I volunteered at NHR for many years. I worked through the last semester of my senior year of high school until the day I left for college at Kansas State University.

After competing for McCrackens Gymnastics for many years, I was employed as a recreational gymnastics coach. During this time I taught gymnastics to kids from the ages of 20 months to 18 years old. I taught all 4 events, vault, bars, beam, and floor, as well as conditioned the athletes to become stronger, mentally and physically. I also hosted birthday parties held at the gym, as well as assisted with "Open Gym," when we open the gym to people of all ages. On multiple occasions I assisted in hosting gymnastics meets at McCrackens doing jobs like judging and assisting judges. Many times, I communicated with parents and gymnasts about hard subjects like why the gymnast isn't ready for the next level, or to compete. Other times, I trained new coaches on how things are done at McCrackens.
