My name is Payton Stewart and I am a PhD student studying Leadership & Human Resource Development at Louisiana State University. My academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, where I developed skills in applied statistics. My academic path is fueled by a passion for understanding the intricate dynamics of leadership, creativity, and organizational effectiveness.In my current role as a Research Assistant at LSU's SLIC Lab, I am studying creativity and innovation. In this and other research roles, I have developed the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it to a broad audience of both academics and practitioners alike. This skill set has helped in my contributions to research papers, proposals, and academic dialogues.My experience extends beyond the lab, having been deeply involved in EEG research and student engagement studies at the University of St. Thomas. Here, I explored the neural underpinnings of speech perception and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on student life, which were met with a positive reception at academic conferences.As I seek opportunities to translate my research acumen into the consulting realm, I am eager to apply my expertise in inferential statistics, cognitive psychology, and data analysis to real-world organizational challenges.
