I worked for Auslanway in Melbourne. I helped deaf clients with basic life support. I checked for emails for new clients, notes, and tasks. I learned and picked up Auslan Sign Language.

As a JumpStart Senior Peer mentor, I assisted the JumpStart team in planning the JumpStart program. I also served as a team leader and a role model to JumpStart Peer Leaders and incoming students.

My role was to support undergraduate students in navigating their transition to Gallaudet University and their progression toward graduation. Peer Mentors provide guidance, support, and mentorship to undergraduate students. Peer Mentors are expected to promote academic success, provide social networking opportunities, and help guide each student assigned to them.

Jumpstart is a program for new deaf/hard-of-hearing students of Gallaudet University who don't know American Sign Language. They come in for a month before school starts to learn American Sign Langauge.
