My role as a program aide is to assist the teacher with children. This includes, but is not limited to, leading tasks, cutting paper, getting involved in play time or dance time, making sure we always have a count on all kids, discipling when needed, and teaching the kids.

As a floral designer you don't expect as many tasks that come with the job. Beyond just designing floral arrangements in a timely manner, I also dealt with every kind of customer (mad or happy) and all sorts of age groups. As a small business it was our job to keep the entire facility clean and to make sure all the money was managed and accounted for. I answered phones and controlled the POS system we had for orders. I kept our social media current and made sure our website was up to date. I also made sure everyone stayed on task and had a task. This whole job was about time management, customer service and organizational skills.

In my role as a medication aide my main task was to assist residents take vital medication on time daily. I also helped my coworkers anytime I could, I kept the environment clean, I was very diligent in everything I did, and stayed later when necessary.

As a small business I did more than make coffee. I made sandwiches, kept out bakery goods filled and fresh, cleaned the equipment and work area, worked the cash register and dealt with customers.

As a barista in a corporate business I was part of a well worked team. There were several different jobs I worked in a day. The different positions everyone would work in a day were a front person who warmed food, customer service who would fill and run things for their coworkers, a register person, two window people, and two baristas. This was such a good learning experience for how to work in a team to make things go smooth and fast.

Here I ran food, picked up tables, and made sure things were on a tray in a certain easy order. I worked with a big group of people who all had one job throughout the night to make things go smoothly.

Being a caregiver was such a rewarding job. I assisted elderly clients in the comfort of their own home in anything and everything they needed help with. I would also travel to senior living facilities or hospitals when needed.

This was my first job and I loved every second of it. As a small business my coworkers and I would work together in making floral arrangements, answering phones, taking orders, decorating the shop, taking care of plants, and cleaning the business. I learned so much in my years here as my first job.
