I am a responsible, enthusiastic, proactive and committed professional. Challenge motivates me and I easily adjust to change. I have taught English as a Second Language for 25 years now (general English, English for specific purposes and international exams preparation). I am an experienced teacher in all educational levels (preschool, primary, secondary and teacher training in higher education) and in corporate environments. I have been working as Head of the English Department at Instituto Hispano Argentino Pedro Poveda for more than ten years, first in primary school and at present in preschool, secondary school and teacher training college (higher education). I truly believe in team work and in positive leadership, empowering employees and giving them the tools and trust needed to meet the objectives set. I also believe in the importance of ongoing training and try to keep up to date with new technological advances in education.Some of the responsibilities I have as head of department are: syllabus design and content sequencing; management and supervision of learning environments and development of multimedia content for synchronous and asynchronous lessons; administration of international exams (Cambridge Assessment and Trinity College London); staff recruitment, training and supervision; project management; and communication with students’ families.I have graduated as a Teacher of English at ISP Dr. Joaquín V. González. I have specialised in English Language at ISP Dr. Joaquín V. González and in English Culture at ISFD Pedro Poveda, where I lecture at present. I have completed a four-year post-graduate course in conference interpretation at Mc Donough and I am about to defend my Master’s Thesis in Translation and Interpreting at University of Buenos Aires (UBA), as I also work as a freelance translator and interpreter. My research focuses on the use of ICT in higher education. Throughout my career, I have delivered presentations for professional development at different congresses and conferences.
