Significant experience of producing large scale bids, evaluations, programme management, project delivery and commissioning small and large scale projects with public, private and VCSE organisations to meet local need and to monitor the delivery of the relevant tender specifications.Develop small and large-scale consortiums at a local, sub-regional and regional level which has included schools, VCSE groups, private employment providers, local authorities and FE Colleges, etc.

Currently employed as the CEO of BCT Aspire which is a local organisation delivering a wide range of provision for children and young people including sports activities within schools, youth clubs, afterschool primary clubs, music groups and Duke of Edinburgh

Significant experience within Civil and Public Service at a Senior Level, Secured over £50m of external funding over a 15 year period, including small scale grants for VCSE organisations to high value contracts including £30m contract secured in 2016 which has supported over 13,000 young people.Lead on the Hartlepool Youth Investment Project which was developed to tackle high levels of youth unemployment and in three years the youth unemployment rate was reduced by 75% through collaboration between schools, colleges and particularly employers.Lead on Future Jobs Fund project which created over 750 jobs in Hartlepool in two years.Developed the first ever Employment Hub in Hartlepool to respond to the economic impact of COVID.Co-produced Hartlepool Council’s first ever Child Poverty Strategy in collaboration with Public Health, Children’s Services and Economic Development Services, etc.Produced a comprehensive 200-page Hartlepool Economic Impact Assessment which outlined key economic matters including regeneration opportunities, growth sectors and skills requirements.Produced the 2016 Hartlepool Adult Education 5-year Strategy which lead to the service securing Ofsted Good rating with outstanding features identified, Bronze, Silver and Gold Investors in People Awards, Matrix Accreditation, Investors in Volunteering and Investors in Careers.Lead on providing bespoke support to VCSE organisations including governance support, leadership programmes, assistance for sourcing and securing funding and developing commercial entities.Lead on and created the Council’s Careers Service to respond to unemployment in the locality.Lead on a full evaluation of Tees Valley Local Authorities Community Learning provision in advance of Ofsted inspections to inform Ofsted and other key stakeholders including commissioners on the impact of their provision.
