I am experienced in developing mathematical models of industrial scale processes for qualitative and quantitative analysis, design, control, and optimization. Over the period of 8+ years, I have honed the ability to effectively communicate technical content with audience of diverse backgrounds through mediums like oral presentations, technical reports and journal articles. Furthermore, I have worked both collaboratively and alone with attention to detail, and believe in knowledge sharing among organizational peers to promote accelerated problem solving. I am a proactive thinker and am always looking to expand my knowledge boundaries via learning and research.I worked on a diverse set of projects in the periods spent in industry and academia, which are summarized here,- Developed models of utility systems to test both software and technical functionality of mixed-integer nonlinear optimization feature for industrial deployment. Innovations in modeling to incorporate binary switching capabilities into existing process models of ROMeo real-time optimization software resulted in two patents, and internal awards for my contributions.- Critically analyzed the dynamics of a novel distillation operation (called semicontinuous distillation) to advance towards the application of a more algorithmic design methodology for finding cost-effective designs. The research findings were effectively communicated in the form of journal articles. I received the AIChE graduate student research award 2019 (in the separations division) for my contributions in this area.- Collected data (as part of a team) from several academic and industrial research studies on fossil fuel-based electricity generation processes with carbon capture technologies to surmise the best technology for future investment. This journal article has more than 5000 downloads and is widely used by consulting firms.
