Hello, I am a talented Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and writing clean code. I also love creating new and interesting things with technology that people want to use. Also, as someone who has lived all over the world I am passionate about the internet and its ability to allow you to access any content or person across the globe.I have experience with the following technologies: Ruby, Rails, SQL, Javascript, Git, Backbone.js, and R. I also have experience with the MVC server architecture pattern, TDD, and using the REST conventions to interact with users and APIs using HTTP methods.My first exposure to computers was in high school when I needed a new computer, but none of the computers I could afford were powerful enough for me, so I decided to build my own. Since then I have learned about all facets of computers and Web Technology and have started to build my own websites and programs.I have also worked in various technology support roles at my university where I helped manage computer labs, installing and repairing operating systems as well as doing hardware repair. I then moved onto another IT position where I helped support various distributed systems for my University including Email, Web Services, and Administrative Databases.I have a passion for working with numbers and data to find solutions to problems people face everyday. I also am deeply interested in encryption and computer security and the technologies involved including SSL, Tor, Bitcoin, and RSA.
