I currently hold the position of Director of Alumni and Career Services within Clemson University's College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences (CAFLS). My affiliation with Clemson University began in 2006. In addition to my role as the Director, I also serve as the Executive Director of the CAFLS Alumni Board. My responsibilities encompass overseeing all aspects of placement and employer relations for undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni affiliated with CAFLS. Before joining the Clemson team, I devoted nine years to Louisiana State University, where my responsibilities included coordinating recruitment and academic advising for the LSU College of Agriculture.

I then coordinated the student services program area for the College of Agriculture. Organized, planned and directed the college graduation ceremony. Supervised admission of freshman directly into the College. Oversaw and coordinated the work of the faculty curriculum coordinators (advisors) in each of the College’s curricular area. Presided over student grade appeals and assisted students with academic problems/issues (probation, warning, drops). Assisted with College placement programs in conjunction with the LSU Office of Career Services. Served as liaison with Career Services for interview setup, employer contacts and disseminating career information to student body and faculty. Directed freshman and transfer orientations for our College. Acted as a liaison with the University Registrar’s Office and Office of Academic Affairs. Supervised Coordinator for Recruitment as well as assisted the Dean with various projects and programs as assigned.

I was responsible for coordinating all recruitment efforts for the College of Agriculture, including on and off campus events. Examples include high school student recruitment visits and College of Agriculture participation in High School and Junior College career days, as well as various on-campus open houses. Served as a liaison between the LSU Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the College of Agriculture. Coordinated placement activities in the College of Agriculture; assisted companies interested in interviewing College of Agriculture students for internships and full-time positions. Oversaw the College of Agriculture Scholarship program. Chaired the faculty committee that selected COA Scholarship recipients. Served as the liaison with the Office of Student Aid and Scholarship. In addition, I organized the College of Agriculture Honor’s Convocation for scholarship recipients and outstanding students. Designed and published the College of Agriculture recruitment brochures as well as the Les Voyageur Ambassador brochure. Served as the advisor and coordinator of the Les Voyageur Student Speakers Bureau. This includes preparing class syllabus, assigning projects and activities and issuing grades at the end of each semester.
