Strategy Analyst
Lambrakis, appointed me, a non-exec, a COO & McKinsey to resolve conflicted structures, generate, assess, and implement growth plans. Hired (in my twenties) to set up the strategy office: knowledge management, key reporting & analytics on sales, business development, and market data. i/ I created newspaper sales analyses: when, where, how? - Greece’s first daily newspaper market share report. This became a ‘key advantage’ - including days and topics to focus on, enabling sales growth & business run on predictive analytics. ii/ McKinsey and I created a three-year plan, identifying 10% EBITDA. iii/ Rejecting a proposition I proved unprofitable due to competitor margin tolerance, I implemented a new line: books series with weekly papers – the business grew to 50% share of a 40M€ market. I became part of NPD leadership. iv/ Without IT support, I identified an e-shop opportunity for the book series, built a website (UX / UI, e-POS). With a click to buy ratio of 30% on the first two weeks (Global players at 1%), I was appointed to the IT board.
