Welcome to my Linkedin Page.I have spent most my professional life diving into whatever excites me. Surveying (site-engineering as it's known in UK) has always been my backbone and held my interest. It has been a very fast developing industry since the introduction of electronics into the equipment, EDM (electronic distance measurement), data logging, PC software, GPS and robotics with remote laser measuring.KZN Project Engineering is a dynamic company and I have superb surveyors in my team. They are self motivated and highly skilled. This company has continued to grow and is a major player in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.Today I mainly work as a freelance surveyor in Europe and South Africa, manage my business and help out in matters concerning conservation.

We pooled our qualities together and with superior management skills, tackled civil jobs, mainly earthworks, drainage, roadworks and retaining structures.We extended our services into home improvements and Industrial bulk water supply for fire hydrants and sprinkler systems.All work was negotiated on fixed price, making us approachable and accountable. The difference was a team with real solutions and experience to make complicated, design-and-build jobs flow smoothly. Mark and I took on a challenge in conservation and eventually closed Jontor down.

Freelance SurveyorSelf Employed Jan 1995 - Jul 2000I worked in UK for Workstream construction services as a freelance site-engineer on numerous building projects and big earthworks contracts.I then moved back to RSA where I rejoined Techni-Con for a short period then opened my own business as a freelance surveyor. I controlled up to 6 construction sites and visited as needed. I specialised in topographical surveys, detail plans and volume calculations. Computers became the norm in the industry and I bought my first licence of ModelMaker in 1998.
