Since identification of various bad practices in lead-up to credit crisis, regulators of the UK finance industry have enforced several initiatives to redress poor customer treatment. Highest profile of these programmes was with regard to the mis-selling of PPI (Payment Protection Insurance), but there were other areas also requiring redress. These included some mis-selling of mortgages products and features, as well as mis-management of some of these mortgages. Each redress area was bespoke, but required customisation of strong workflow controls and record-keeping, due to high profile of initiatives with regulators, media and the general public. Both front-book and back-book solutions had to be considered, and a disciplined change analyst was required to co-ordinate and oversee much of this activity. This role required me drawing on knowledge and experience from core Business Analysis disciplines (such as process design and requirements management), as well as project management, cross functional team co-ordination, and incident management. Work stack was managed within a persistent, multi-disciplinary, agile team.
