Designed and implemented an early SaaS offering that provided an Internet-scale, highly distributed, XML-based, meta-query search engine service based on a stand-alone product. ExactOne offered its service primarily to portal customers which allowed their users to query forms-based web sites by category. Key accomplishments included helping acquire angel and venture funding, hiring and managing a staff of nearly 30 people, selecting datacenter locations and key partners for the highly distributed scalable infrastructure, and selling the service to the initial customers.

Led the technical implementation and an important element of the accompanying community outreach for the entrepreneurial community in the greater Washington, D.C. region during the rapid rise of the Internet. Led the technical strategy for the Potomac KnowledgeWay Project, the Netpreneur Program and other entrepreneurial ventures of The Morino Institute. Worked with a prestigious and highly-regarded team to help change the way the greater Washington, D.C. region thought about itself and subsequently transformed itself into a global leader in the information economy and the digital world.

Managed the IT Analytics infrastructure as part of a large-scale, complex, and highly efficient computer measurement regime. Worked within a talented team of mainframe systems programming professionals during the initial, rapid growth of Freddie Mac's infrastructure. Worked on several special projects requiring advanced SAS knowledge and expertise.
