This capability is available in embedded mode, as part of the existing AHLTA Clinical Workstation (CWS). AWP uses the existing AHLTA system to pull and print patient records. AWP users select patients through a GUI and can choose to narrow the contents of the report by date range or by clinical domains. Users also have the ability to print a hard copy record, or print to PDF.The benefit of AWP is that an end user can print a patient’s entire AHLTA electronic health record in either PDF format or hard copy without having to search through multiple AHLTA modules and print each separately. This functionality is being utilized by the PAD office in conjunction with Health Artifact and Image Management Solution (HAIMS) to create a patient’s Service Treatment Record (STR) for upload to the Veterans Benefits Administration Veterans Benefit Management System (VBMS).
