Major projects include extracting 7 years of legacy Unicam genealogy data for import into SigmaQuest manufacturing data collection system and leading transition of all LabVIEW and TestStand code from Versions 7.1 and 3.0 to 8.6 and 4.1.1. Integrated and adapted TestStand 3.0 process and frontend model customizations into version 4.1.1 while taking advantage of new features. Created LabVIEW upgrade tool that used custom XControl, Upgrade Analyzer API and LabVIEW VI Server to automate upgrade process.Updated common library code UI components to use event structures and System style controls. Added TestStand and LabVIEW functions to collect test fixture, genealogy data and test mode information. Wrote utilities to parse and import over 50,000 TestStand 1.0 and 3.0 HTML reports into SigmaQuest data collection system. Secondary responsibilities include administering Sample Management and Manual Test Data collection systems, ESS database, networked test equipment.Most recent project involved porting of SigmaQuest contents to an existing underutilized in-house database. Designed and wrote a LabVIEW multichannel TCP/IP Receiver/Logger for high speed data acquisition based on advanced LabVIEW functions including multithreading, data queues, notifiers and timed loops. Designed a modular LabVIEW interface to communicate with a proprietary VME card via shared memory. LabVIEW installed on several different Intel based Single Board Computers with access to VME bus made via vendor DLL calls.Wrote LabVIEW Plug-And-Play drivers for project specific test instruments including the Clarke-Hess 2500 Phase-Angle Voltmeter, Clarke-Hess 5500 Phase Standard, Fluke 1620 DewK Thermometer/Hygrometer, Agilient 3499 Switch, Sun Electronics PC-1000 Process Controller and Symmetricom 8040C Rubidium Frequency Standard. Support the testing and calibration of precision resistance, capacitance and inductance devices to NIST traceable standards in an A2LA accredited laboratory. Designed MS Access calibration database for storage of manual and automated test sequence results, test specifications and procedures and report generation of 17025 compliant calibration certificates. Flowcharted and rewrote a legacy DOS/BASIC test program in LabVIEW that automates collection and analysis of R-L-C artifacts and decade standards. Rewrite improved instrument modularity, completed unfinished computation features that have improved manufacturing processes. Additional projects include complete redesign of web site and product catalog using Adobe GoLive and InDesign; coordinating telephone and LAN installation in new facilities; selection and setup of W2K file server and backup solution. Redesigned programmable instrument for fit into new housing, including mechanical design and adapter circuit board that replaces legacy IEEE 488 controller with ICS Electronics 4823B DIO controller.
