Peter is an RICS qualified construction professional with 38 years' experience across all sectors of the construction and property development industry including residential, health, education, retail, commercial and industrial, together with experience of many types of contract including JCT, ICE, NEC and PFI.After learning his trade as a Quantity Surveyor at Carillion where he spent almost 16 years, he was head-hunted to join Persimmon Homes in 2002 – initially as Commercial Manager/Director and latterly as Managing Director of Special Projects - responsible for all large multi-storey city-centre apartment schemes in England and Wales, together with involvement in many other contractual and legal matters across the Group.Following 10 years at Persimmon, Peter joined Mount Anvil as Commercial Director in 2012 with responsibility for the Commercial Team and all commercial aspects of the business ranging from build contracts to development agreements, starting at bidding stage through to final delivery.In October 2014, Peter left Mount Anvil to establish Burton CM, providing commercial and contractual services to Contractors and Developers. Concurrently, Peter co-founded Lamton Construction Ltd with long time associate Steve Porter. Lamton were an independent building company acting as main contractor and development partner throughout London and the South-East. In January 2021 Peter joined Ammonite Projects as Commercial Director.
